This chromatic tuner listens through your phone or computer microphone and shows the note you are playing, its octave, the exact frequency, and how many cents sharp or flat you are on a needle. Inside five cents the display turns green. It works for any instrument: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, strings, guitar and voice.
Band instruments can switch the display to B♭, E♭ or F so the note matches what is written in your part, while the frequency line still shows the concert pitch. Change the reference from A = 440 Hz if your group tunes higher or lower, and play a concert B♭, F or A tuning note through the speaker. The sound is analysed on your device and never uploaded or recorded.
